OUR STUDIO

Balanced Movement is a fully equipped Pilates Studio. We teach studio sessions using the Pilates apparatus such as the Reformer, Cadillac and Wunda Chair. This specific Pilates apparatus uses springs that create resistance to both support and challenge the body. In these private sessions we are able to tailor the exercises to the clients needs for an effective balanced workout.


Our group classes are available for different levels and are taught on the mat and studio apparatus depending on the class. For the Mat classes we use small equipment and props (foam rollers, rings, resistance bands and balls) to create resistance and support you through the exercises.

We understand that everyone is individual and will have different needs. We are experienced in focusing on these, from; relieving the strains of office work, pre and post pregnancy, clients coping with menopause or osteoporosis, those rehabilitating from injuries, through to sports enthusiasts wanting to progress and support their training. We believe Pilates is for everybody, and aim to help each client experience the benefits of Pilates by gaining strength and flexibility and learning about their bodies along the way.

The Studio has been successfully established for over 15 years. As a teacher at the studio for a number of years Julia took over in January 2017 and with a refresh of the space and equipment it became Balanced Movement Pilates.
