CLASS TYPES

As quoted by Joseph Pilates ‘You will feel better in ten sessions, look better in twenty sessions, and have a completely new body in thirty sessions’. We agree, which is why we recommend you find the classes that work for you and attend regularly. You can try any of our classes for the first time for a trial price.

PRIVATE CLASSES

Private sessions allow us the opportunity to work on your individual needs. We tailor the session and work with the apparatus in the best way for you and your body. These sessions are ideal if you are new to Pilates, rehabilitating from an injury—many of our clients are referred by Physiotherapists and Osteopaths—as well as for those looking to support sports training or to improve strength and posture. In a private class you get the individual focus all with the close attention and expert guidance of our teachers.

These classes are a great way to start, giving you the space to learn the basics and develop across all of the Pilates apparatus.

SEMI PRIVATE / DUET CLASSES

If you have a friend or family member who would like to join, you can workout together and reduce the cost.

GROUP CLASSES

For all our Group Classes you need to be injury free. If not we can arrange an initial private session to check if they are right fit for you beforehand.

REFORMER

Our Reformer classes have a maximum of 4 per class, so you receive focused support from your teacher. The Reformer is a key piece of apparatus in the Pilates system that uses spring-based resistance to build strength, flexibility and control throughout the body. If you’re new to using the Reformer, we offer beginner-friendly classes — just let us know, and we’ll help you find the right class.

MATWORK

Our Matwork classes have a maximum of 8 participants, allowing for focused guidance from our teachers. We work to a series of exercises rooted in the Classical Pilates system to connect, support and strengthen the body.

TOTAL APPARATUS CLASSES

These classes are run with a maximum of 4 people and are an opportunity to experience the full Pilates System and Apparatus — including the Reformer, Cadillac/Tower, Mat, Barrels, Chairs, Pedi-Pole and a variety of smaller apparatus such as the Foot Corrector, Magic Circle, Weighted Bars and Towels.

Sessions are shared with up to three others, but each participant works on their own personalised program. That means you won’t necessarily all be doing the same thing, so a level of independence and confidence with the equipment is important.

To join these classes you’ll need to be confident with the set-up and order of the Basic Reformer and Matwork. Ideally you will also have been introduced to foundational exercises on other studio apparatus and be ready to work more independently in a shared studio setting. We can help you work towards this through a combination of Matwork / Reformer Classes and or Private Classes.
